Thank you for your interest in being a volunteer at Xpand Fest on Saturday June 9, 2018 from 12pm-10pm. SHIFTS ARE 4hrs and are rewarded with light hospitality and Xpand Fest swag, an invitation to the Thank You Party and of course praise, appreciation and a feeling of contributing to the community.

Below is some information for you to review prior to you signing up to volunteer.

FESTIVAL INFO:

Xpand Fest is a community-driven outdoor street festival with music, arts and fun on Coxe and Buxton Avenue in Asheville, NC on June 9th. Xpand Fest is the signature event of Xpand Your Vision (XYV) an arts organizing nonprofit who believes that strengthening our community is the way to empower others cities, states and countries. One of the ways we will galvanize our festival attendees is through creatively presenting the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

These goals are designed for people and communities to come together to solve some of the most challenging problems facing our own town and the world today including responsible consumption and production, decent work and economic growth. It is in support of these goals that we encourage volunteers who align with these ideals to apply.

THINGS TO NOTE:
All volunteers will be assigned to a specific team and will work shifts in 4hr increments.

Some volunteers (beer pourers, security) are required to take part in a mandatory training which involves watching a few videos and answering some basic questions about what you saw.
All volunteers required to complete the training will be required to do so before they can check-in on-site so be sure to get it done as soon as it gets sent out!

T-shirts will be provided at time of check in.
*Be sure to check-in 10-15 minutes early to each of your shifts so that you may change if needed and find your job location.

1. Xpand Fest Pre-party:
THURS June 7th @ Bhramari Brewing Company. 6:15 - 9pm
Open to the public.
     Come get excited about Xpand Fest and be the first to try year 2 of our flagship beer Xpand FestivALE 

2. Xpand Fest thank you party: 
THURS June 14th @ Greenman Brewery Mansion. 6 - 8:30pm
Private invite only for sponsors, staff, volunteers, performers and vendors. 
     Come celebrate all the success Xpand Fest #2 had and start dreaming year 3 with us!

3. Xpand Fest after-after party: 
FRI June 15th @ Ambrose West. 8pm - 11pm 
Ticketed Event.  Open to the public. 
     This is an exciting opportunity for Xpand Fest and Xpand brand to have a ticketed show that will support Xpand Fest and will be a place for us to make a special announcement about NEW programs with Xpand! You don't want to miss it!
